Why olive oil is the healthiest fat
Always we hear and read by scientists and nutritionist about how valuable and healthy is olive oil for our bodies. But how is supposed a fat to be healthy?
Not all fats are the same, and not all residues of the organization. Fatties participate in various vital functions of our body. They help in the transfer and the digestion of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K), contribute to the proper functioning of nerves, constitute 60% of the gray matter, component and brain food, maintain cell walls and help to provide energy and creating hormones.
What separates various fat has to do with digestion. When your body digests fats, some fats are able to break down into useful components by the digestive enzymes (unsaturated fat) while others are not (saturated fat).
The extra virgin olive oil, consists of a very small amount of saturated fat, especially monounsaturated fat, just what your body needs. Finally we have a good amount of omega-6 fatty acids, a small amount of omega-3, and a nice dose of vitamin E and K.
